Chapter Two

(Two much intellilgence for a Young Guard)

As time marched on into afternoon, and apologised for not looking where he was going, the intrepid travellers got hungry, so they looked for some food. They found a little nut tree, and so they filled themselves up, except for Luke, who didn't have any nuts. (He was scared of what they might do to him.)

Shortly, after having entered a large jungle, they came across a slight problem (and for once it wasn't Stephen). They had to pass into the neighbouring country, but there was a large wire fence, and, in a corner, immersed in the sounds of the jungle, was a strong silent guard, staring into a mirror and flexing his muscles. Taku asked if anyone had a plan to get past - a solution to their problem.

Stephen and Anthony came up with a nice solution of vodka and orange, and Taku was on the floor for quite a while after having tried that out. During that time, Luke had been looking back through his notes, and had come across a foolproof plan:

Stephen kept the guard busy with a mixture of wit, sarcasm and plenty of unintelligable garbage (the latter being the one the guard appreciated most), which gave Sarah and Jenny the time they neede to cut through the fence with their nails (after sharpening them first of Jimmy, of course). Soon they were happily on their way, except for Luke, who was upset cos he had dropped his notes and the corner of his file had got all nasty and muddy. SO he put a sticky label on it, and felt better.
