Yesterday afternoon 14 people reported having possessions stolen from them while in town writes Robin Peterson. It appears an army of pick-pocketers who have had police chasing shadows for months have struck again. None of the 14 victims caught a good views of their assailants who will almost certainly never be brought to justice. 12 of the 14 victims were students at the local university, coincidently nine were maths students. It appears they gang target students who refuse to wear the unfashionable waist bags recommended by police. One of the students, Stu Studentson, said "I didn't even notice it go, my wallet had just been snatched from me before I had even chance to react". Police are warning students to pay close attention to their possessions. It appears Bath just isn't as safe as it used to be.
