Chapter Eight

(But Luke didn't, cos he was probably allergic to it, whatever it was)

The next day, they continued on their journey, and by about midday had gone a good many miles in the blinding sun, so when they came to a cave they eagerly went into the cool shade. The only problem was that it was quite dark, so they couldn't see each other, which was good since they couldn't see Luke, but bad because they were still having nightmares about Bozzard from chapter three (except that for Taku, they were probably dreams).

Just as they were starting to feel more at ease, there was a sudden loud rumbling noise, and the cave caved in, leaving them buried in an undergroud hole. For a minute, they panicked (well Jimmy couldn't be bothered, but the rest did). Then "Don't panic, Mr Mainwaring," Jenny shouted, which meant that she had an idea. After taking some practise shots on Anthony, and breaking both of his legs, she ran at the blocked entrance, and gave it a good kick with her steel-capped shoes. The rocks all moved away quite impressively, except that Taku found it a bit difficult squeezing out, and gave himself a migrane in the process.

Now out, they realised that for the first time since they left all those eight chapters ago, it was raining. This meant two things - one, they were now nearer to completing their mission, by finding the source of rain, and two, they were getting wet.

Anthony thought they should look above the clouds, to see if they could find the rain source, so Sarah stood on Anthony's shoulders, and since they were both so tall, she found herself above the clouds, and looking straight at ... Simon. He said "Hi, hello, how are you, nice to see you looking so well, I hope you've had a good day, how are all the others? I bet you've had an exciting time... etc...etc..." - down below there was a flood.
